DAY 1 – Arrive in Cairo for your Egypt and Kenya Tour

When you arrive in Cairo for your Egypt and Kenya tour, one of our tour representatives will be at the airport to meet you and assist you, and then he will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying while you are in Cairo. On arrival at your hotel, he will assist you with a check-in and confirm a pickup time for the following day’s tour. After that, you will be left alone to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

DAY 2 – Cairo Historical Monuments Tour

Shortly after you have had your breakfast, your tour guide will arrive at your hotel and you will then be taken for a tour in Cairo. Your first stop today will be at the Great Pyramids of Giza where you will see these three famous pyramids as well as the Sphinx and the valley Temple. After exploring the site, you will then be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant, and then you will be visiting the famous Egyptian Museum and its fascinating Treasures Room which is where all the artifacts recovered from the tomb of King Tutankhamun or displayed.

After enjoying sometime at the museum, you will then head to the famous Khan al-Khalili Bazaar which has been open ever since the 14th century. Whether you want to do some shopping, or whether you simply want to sit and relax for a while, the Khan al-Khalili Bazaar is one place which every tourist to Egypt should see at least once. Enjoy some time at the bazaar, and then you head back to your hotel, and you will have the rest of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish.

DAY 3 – Domestic Flight to Luxor, Nile Cruise Embarkation, and East Bank Tour

The next phase of your Egypt and Kenya tour begins today, so once you have had your breakfast, you will check out from your hotel, and our tour representative will then escort you to the airport where you will board a short flight to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor Airport, another one of our tour representatives will meet you and he will escort you to the area where you will be boarding a luxurious 5-Star cruise ship that will be taking you from Luxor to Aswan.

Shortly after embarkation, you will enjoy a good lunch aboard a ship, and then you will be taken for a tour of the East Bank. During this tour, you will be visiting the sprawling Karnak Temple complex and also the very famous Luxor Temple. You will then return to the cruise ship, and you will have some free time for yourself before dinner is served in the evening. Enjoy the first night of your Nile Cruise on the water in Luxor.

DAY 4 – West Bank Monuments and Overnight at Edfu

Wake up to another good breakfast on the boat, and then you will be taken for a tour of the West Bank. During this tour you will visit the Valley of the Kings where you will have a chance to stroll amongst the many royal tombs located here. There are more than 60 tombs at this necropolis, but the most famous ones all those which belonged to Pharaoh Ramses the 6th and King Tutankhamun.

Next, you will visit the astonishing rock-cut Temple of Queen Hatshepsut which was constructed by the same workers who constructed and decorated the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. The last stop on this tour will be at the Colossi of Memnon, after which you will return to the ship, and it will then set sail for Edfu. There are no other excursions scheduled for this day of your Egypt and Kenya Tour, so you will have the entire afternoon to yourself to enjoy it as you wish. Spend this night of your cruise on the water at Edfu.

DAY 5 – Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples, then Overnight at Aswan

Enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast aboard the ship and then our tour guide will take you to see the incredible Temple of Horus. After you have finished exploring the Ascension site you will make your way back to the shop and it will start sailing to Kom Ombo. On arrival at Kom Ombo, you will once again disembark and you will be taken for a tour of Kom Ombo Temple. Once you have finished exploring this ancient site, you will return to the shop, and it will set sail for Aswan. Enjoy the afternoon as you wish, and have a good night’s sleep on the water in Aswan.

DAY 6 – Aswan Monuments and Free Afternoon

Begin your day with another good breakfast on the ship, and then our tour guide will take you to see 3 very popular tourist attractions. First you will visit the Aswan High Dam, then you’ll move on to the Unfinished Obelisk, and finally you will be taken to see the incredible Ancient Temple of Philae. This temple was moved in its entirety in order to save it from Lake Nasser following the construction of the Aswan High Dam.

Return to the ship after your tour; enjoy a good lunch, and then have the reminder of the day to yourself. The last night of your Nile River cruise will be spent on the water in Aswan.

DAY 7 – Disembarkation and Transfer to Cairo

Check out and disembark shortly after breakfast, and then you will be taken to the airport, in time for you to board your short flight back to Cairo. When you land at Cairo Airport, your tour manager will be there to meet you, and then he will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for the night night of your Egypt and Kenya Tour package.

DAY 8 – Fly from Cairo to Nairobi, Knya

The next phase of your Egypt and Kenya tour begins today, so once you have had your breakfast, it will soon be time for you to gather your belongings and check out. At the appropriate time, your tour manager will meet you at the hotel and he will escort you to Cairo International Airport so that you can board your flight to Nairobi.
When you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, one of our tour representatives will meet you and assist you, and then escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for this night of your Egypt and Kenya tour.

DAY 9 – Transfer to, and Chick-In at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, and then it will be time for check-out. Our tour representative will meet you at the agreed time, and you will then drive beautiful Amboseli National Park located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Be sure to keep your eyes open during this drive for wild animals grazing or perhaps even hunting.

The Amboseli Park is renowned for its elephants, so you will be stopping along the way to observe them, and then after that, you will continue on your way to the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge where you will be staying for the next two nights of your Egypt and Kenya Tour. You will arrive at the lodge with ample time to spare before witnessing a truly spectacular sunset. Enjoy your first night in Africa listening to the sounds of the wild as you drift off to sleep.

DAY 10 – Day of Leisure in the African Wilderness

We highly recommend waking up early so you can enjoy the dawn, but this is your vacation, and since there are no tours or excursions scheduled for today, feel free to wake up any time you wish. Enjoy a nice stroll in nature, or simply relax and unwind at the lodge, enjoy the many amenities on offer.

DAY 11 – Bird Watching and Overnight at Lake Elementaita

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, and then at the time which will have been confirmed with you, our tour representative will arrive and assist you with check-out, and then he will drive you to Elementaita, with a stop for some lunch in Nairobi along the way. On arrival at Elementaita, you will check-in at the Elementaita Serena Camp, and then you will have the rest of the day for yourself.

DAY 12 – Game Watching and Overnight at Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to the Lake Nakuru National Park where you will check in at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. Enjoy lunch shortly after arrival at the lodge, and then the rest of the afternoon will devoted to game spotting drives around this beautiful lake which is famous for almost infinite number of flamingos. Enjoy a good dinner in the evening, and spend another unforgettable night in the African wilderness.

DAY 13 – Guided Tours at Maasai Mara National Park

The 13th day of your Egypt and Kenya Tour will include a game spotting drive through Lake Nakuru National Park and then  you will travel to the acclaimed Maasai Mara National Park and you will check-in at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. If you have ever dreamed about seeing Africa’s famous “Big Five” and a vast variety of other wild animals, then your dreams are just about to come true.

The Maasai Mara National Park is famous for its plentiful wildlife, and your tour includes morning and evening drives into the wilderness to see Africa’s famous wildlife up close. Enjoy another night listening to the sounds of the will while drifting off to sleep.

DAY 14 – Guided Game Sighting Tours Masaai Mara National Park

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, and then you can look forward to some well-planned tours that will allow you to see the very best that this Park has to offer. Alternatively, you could just choose to spend the day relaxing at the lodge. However, if you at the park during the migration season, you could miss the opportunity to see thousands of wild animals migrating if you choose to stay at the lodge all day. The tours are included, and we highly recommend taking advantage of them.

DAY 15 – Transfer to Nairobi and Final Departure

Check-out from the lodge after breakfast, and then you will enjoy a very scenic drive down the Great Rift Valley before heading up the escarpment to Nairobi. This route will see you passing Mount Longonot which is a dormant volcano, and two vast lakes. Be sure to look out for large herds of giraffe and gazelle which are a common sight along the way.

When you reach Nairobi, you will be driven to the airport, and then your Egypt and Kenya Tour will officially be over, so we will bid you farewell, and wish you a safe and pleasant onward journey.
