The best time for you to enjoy an Egypt tour from Singapore all depends on a few factors. If you want the best possible prices, then it would be best to visit during the low season which lasts from May to September. It is worth noting though that while prices might be lower, the weather can be very hot, and particularly in certain parts of the country.

If cooler and more pleasant weather is a primary concern of yous, then we would recommend visiting Egypt during the high season which lasts from October to April. Regardless of when you choose to visit, we highly recommend making your reservation as far in advance as possible. Doing so can help you to avoid future price increases. All people who visit Egypt must be in possession of a valid passport. Your passport must be valid for at least six months after your planned date of departure from Egypt. There must also be at least one blank page in your passport for your Egypt visa. If you plan on booking one of our multi-destination Egypt package tours, then you will also need to have at least one blank page for each of the countries you will be visiting.

Yes, people traveling on a Singaporean passport need a visa in order to visit Egypt. However, Singaporean passport holders generally have no difficulty obtaining a tourist visa for Egypt. At the time of this post being written, there was conflicting advice being offered online regarding Egypt visas for people traveling on a Singaporean passport. Some sources have reported that Singaporeans can obtain a Visa-on-Arrival when they arrive in Egypt. Other sources say that visas must be applied for at an Egyptian embassy or consular office prior to traveling to Egypt.

In light of this, we strongly recommend contacting your nearest Egyptian embassy or consular office for up to date information regarding entry requirements for Singapore passport holders.

Yes, Egypt is a very safe destination for tourists. However, we do recommend taking some basic precautions during your trip in Egypt. These would include things like:

• Be vigilant and remain alert of your surrounding when you are out visiting very crowded areas, including very busy tourist attractions.
• Don’t carry more money around with you than you actually need.
• Avoid being out on foot in very quiet and/or deserted areas at night. This is especially true if you are a solo traveler, male or female.
• Be wary of anyone who approaches you in the street and tries to sell you something.
• Do not attempt to buy recreational drugs. Egyptian courts are not inclined to show leniency for drug related offenses.
• Do not get involved in debates about divisive topics such as religion and/or politics.
• Be firm but also polite when dealing with pushy hawkers or vendors who are trying to sell you stuff that you don’t want.
• Consider using a professional tour guide. They really can help you to avoid a lot of hassles and annoyances.

Our advice to travelers is that they should always pack for the climate in the country or countries they will be visiting, and the same is true for Egypt. Egypt basically has three types of weather: warm, hot, and very hot. With this in mind, we recommend focusing on lightweight cotton garments. We also recommend packing in one outfit of smart casual clothing for going out in the evening or to wear if you get invited to someone’s home.

A comfortable pair of closed but breathable walking shoes is also recommended, as is a lightweight jacket and/or blouse which can be worn in the evenings when it can sometimes be quite cool.

At the very least, we recommend taking a good quality sunscreen lotion with you, as well as a good pair of sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat, all of which can also be purchased in Egypt. Female travelers should also consider packing in a head scarf. Apart from the fact that women are required to cover their hair when entering a mosque, a scarf can also provide much needed sun protection.

At the time of writing, Egypt has not barred foreigners from visiting the country. Providing that the Singaporean government is allowing their citizens to travel to Egypt, you are free to visit the country. However, you will need to meet certain requirements. You will need to get a Covid-19 PCR test no more than 72 hours prior to boarding flights to and from Egypt. You will also have to quarantine for 14 days on arrival in Egypt.
