DAY 1 – SAI Dahabiya Lake Cruise Embarkation and Tour

On arrival at Aswan, your tour manager will meet you and escort you to Aswan Port for your SAI Dahabiya Lake Cruise embarkation. After you board this beautiful 5-Star river yacht, you will enjoy your first on-board lunch, and the boat will set sail for Beit el Wali. When you get there, our Egyptologist tour guide will then accompany you on a tour to see the ancient monuments in the area, including the amazing Kalabsha Temple.

After your tour ends, you will return to the boat and it will then set sail for Khour el Ghazal Creek where it will remain tied up for the night. Spend the first night of your Lake cruise on board your dahabiya on the tranquil waters of the lake next to the creek.

DAY 2 – Sail to Wadi el Seboua

Day 2 of your SAI Dahabiya lake cruise is a day for blissful relaxation on the water without any excursions scheduled. Instead, you can enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast on the water while the boat sails slowly to Wadi el Seboua, and then you can enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

Lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner will be served on your dahabiya at the appropriate times and tonight you will sleep on the lake at Wadi el Seboua.

DAY 3 – Wadi el Seboua and AMADA Tours

There are two shore excursions today, so after enjoying your breakfast on board your dahabiya, our tour guide will then take you for your first one which will be a visit to the ancient Wadi el Seboua Temples. Feel free to explore temples and take as many pictures as you want, and then when you are finished, you will head back to the boat and it will set sail for AMADA with lunch being served along the way.

When you reach AMADA, your dahabiyat will tie up, and our tour guide will escort you on a second excursion, this time to the spectacular Amada Temple and the equally as spectacular Temple of Derr. After your visit to these two temples, you will return to the boat, and there will be a very entertaining Nubian Folkloric show on board prior to dinner being served. The 3rd night of your SAI Dahabiya lake cruise will be spent on the quiet waters of Lake Nasser at AMADA.

DAY 4 – Kasr Ibrim and Abu Simbel Tour

Wake up to another leisurely breakfast on board the boat while you are sailing silently to Kasr Ibrim where you will have a spectacular view of the ruins of what was once a formidable citadel. It is the only ancient monument to have survived the flooding of Lake Nasser after the Aswan High Dam was built. All the other monuments that are today located on the shores of Lake Nasser were moved to higher ground while the dam was being built.

From Kasr Ibrim, your luxurious dahabiya will then set sail for Abu Simbel, with a good lunch served along the way. When you reach Abu Simbel, you and our guide will once again leave the boat, and you will enjoy a tour to the magnificent rock-cut Temples of Abu Simbel that were constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II. The two temples here are one of the most visited sites in Egypt.

Today there will also be an optional visit to the temples in the evening for a Sound and Lights Show. Admission tickets for this show are not included in the price of our SAI Dahabiya Lake Cruise packages, but we certainly do recommend going.

Enjoy dinner at the usual time, and spend the last night of your cruise on the waters of Lake Nasser at Abu Simbel.

DAY 5 – SAI Dahabiya Lake Cruise Disembarkation and Departure

Enjoy one last breakfast on board the SAI Dahabiya, and then it will be time for final disembarkation and departure. Your SAI Dahabiya Lake Cruise has now come to an end, so we will bid you farewell, and wish you a safe and pleasant onward journey.
