DAY 1 – Arrive Cairo for your 10 Day Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package

Your tour manager and your personal driver meet you at the airport in Cairo and then transfer you to your hotel in one of our clean and modern air-conditioned vehicles. Your tour manager will ensure you enjoy a smooth and hassle-free check-in and then confirm a pick-up time for the following day’s tours. After this, you are left on your own to enjoy the remainder of this day as you wish.

DAY 2 – Saqqara and Necropolis and Giza Pyramids

Your personal Egyptologist guide and driver pick you up at the agreed time and take you to see the Saqqara necropolis which is about 30km from Cairo. While there are many things to see here, the necropolis is most famous for its Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser. This is also the very first pyramid ever built.

After your tour at Saqqara you will be taken for lunch, and then you will visit the Giza necropolis on the outskirts of Cairo. This necropolis is of course where you will be able to see Egypt’s most famous ancient monuments: the Great Pyramids of Giza; the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Once you are finished at the Giza necropolis, you are then driven back to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

NOTE: For an additional $150 fee, you can have your own professional photographer for two (2) hours at the pyramids. Include 20 edited high quality photos in printed album, plus a CD with a minimum of 100 edited digital images.

DAY 3 – Nile Cruise Embarkation and Luxor East Bank Tour

Your Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package enters the next phase today, so you will check-out from your hotel after breakfast and then you are taken to the airport to board your flight to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor Airport, you are again met by one of our employees and a driver, and then you are taken to board your 5-Star Nile River cruise. Your cruise includes full board so you will be served lunch on the ship shortly after boarding.

We send one or more of our Egyptologist guides on the cruise as well, and one of them will take you and a small group of our other clients for your first sightseeing excursion shortly after lunch. Today you will see two remarkable ancient sites: Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple complex.

After your tour, you head back to your cruise ship and then you can enjoy the rest of the day as you wish. Have dinner aboard the vessel, and enjoy this night of your Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package on the water at Luxor.

DAY 4 – Luxor West Bank and Cruise to Edfu

Today you visit the West Bank of Luxor with your first stop being at the Valley of the Kings. This was a royal burial ground during the New Kingdom era, and is home to more than 60 tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen. Your next stop will be at a nearby place called El Deir El Bahari to see the splendid rock-cut Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and then your last stop will be at the huge Colossi of Memnon.

After your West Bank tour ends, you will return to the ship and it will start cruising to Edfu via the Esna Lock. Lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner will be served aboard the ship and this night of your Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package will be spent on the water at Edfu.

DAY 5 – Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple and Overnight at Aswan

Breakfast is served at the usual time, and then you are taken to see the amazing Temple of Horus at Edfu. This is the best-preserved ancient cult temple, thanks to the fact that it was buried underneath the sand for more than 2,000 years. After returning to the ship, enjoy and lunch and a leisurely cruise to Kom Ombo where you will be taken to see the Temple of Kom Ombo that was once devoted to two different gods.

Following your Kom Ombo Temple visit, you return to the ship and it sails to Aswan. Enjoy dinner on the ship and a good night’s rest in your cabin on the water at Aswan.

DAY 6 – Aswan Sightseeing Tour

This morning, your Egyptologist guide will take you and the other members of your group for tour shortly after breakfast. During this tour you will visit the Aswan High Dam; the Unfinished Obelisk, and the ancient Temple of Philae which was moved to its current location on higher ground in order to save it from the flooding of Lake Nasser when the High Dam was built.

Your tour lasts until just before lunchtime, so once you get back on board the vessel you will be served lunch, and then you will have the rest of the day to yourself. You spend this night of you Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package on the water at Aswan again.

DAY 7 –Return to Cairo

After breakfast, you will check-out and disembark, and then you will be taken to the airport in Aswan to board your flight back to Cairo, where you will again be met and then taken to the hotel where you will be stay for the remainder of your Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package. There are no tours scheduled for today, so once you have checked in at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 8 – Private Cairo Sightseeing Tour

You are collected from your hotel at the confirmed time and you will be taken to see a several popular Cairo tourist attractions, including the fantastic Egyptian Museum; the Salah El Din Citadel and the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. At lunchtime you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant, and then you will visit the famous Khan el Khalili Bazaar which has been open since the late 14th century.

After spending some time at the bazaar, you will be driven back to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 9 – Optional Alexandria Tour

On this day of your Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package, you have two options. You can either have the entire day to yourself to enjoy as you wish, or else you can enjoy an optional day-tour to Alexandria, returning to Cairo in the evening for the last night of your Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package.

DAY 10 – 10 Day Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package Ends

Today we will fetch you from your hotel at the appropriate time, and then we will drive you to Cairo International Airport in time for you to board your flight out of Egypt. Your 10 Day Luxury Cairo and Nile Cruise Package has now come to an end, but your memories will stay with you forever.
